IV International conference on Russian shipbuilding. Import substitution

On April 6-7 2017 the IV International conference on Russian shipbuilding. Import substitution will take place in Saint-Petersburg (Bolshoy Prospect V.O., building 103, exhibition complex “LENEXPO”, pavilion 4).

The primary goal of the conference is to analyze the current state and the main development directions of the Russian shipbuilding, actions taken by the Government and business community to make Russian shipbuilding a competitive sphere.

Among the participants there will be representatives of the Ministries, government departments, Russian shipyards and ship repair facilities, shipping companies, design bureaus, scientific organizations, classification societies, ship equipment suppliers.

Conference preliminary agenda for 6.04.2017:
•    The present and future of the shipbuilding:
-    The development prospects of the shipbuilding in Russia. The government support measures for import substitution for ship equipment. Demand for shipbuilding products. Speaker: the Department of the Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Equipment of the The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation;
-    Global shipbuilding industry and Russian sea fleet: conditions, problems, prospects. Speaker: Central Marine Research and Design Institute;
-    New competitive technical and technological solutions for producing civil sea and river technology. Speaker: The Krylov State Research Centre;
•    Management:
-    The USC (United Shipbuilding Corporation) shipbuilding program, technical policy into the field, modern approaches to increasing labor productivity of the Russian shipbuilding enterprises. Speaker: The USC;
•    River shipbuilding in Russia:
-    River shipbuilding in Russia: demand for new vessels, analysis of the measures taken by the State for stimulating renewal of fleet. Speaker: Marine Engineering Bureau, UCL Holding, Moscow River Shipping Company;
-    Shipbuilding and fleet modernization in order to provide cargo navigation in the Lena River basin. Reconstruction and modernization of Zhataysky ship repair and shipbuilding plant Ltd. Speakers: Development corporation of the Republic of Sakha, Lena United River Shipping;
•    Import substitution:
-    Russian shipbuilding market of the ship equipment and accessories: its current state. Speaker: Classification society Russian Maritime Register of Shipping;
-    Import substitution systemic problems in marine engineering and instrument making area. Speaker: Central Scientific Research Institute Kurs;
-    Realization process of import substitution projects for nuclear ice-breakers which are now under construction in Russia. Using prospects of new ship equipment on LK-110Ya-class icebreakers. Speaker: Central Scientific Research Institute of Marine Electrical Engineering and Technology;
-    Opportunities of the domestic ship engine manufacture, measures aimed at developing ship engines in the world. Speaker: Central Scientific Research Diesel Institute;
-    New marine engines made in Russia: D500K (Kolomna Locomotive Works), M150 (Zvezda), DM-185 (UDMZ): from design till batch production;
-    Composite materials – new opportunities for shipbuilding. Experience of the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard in import substitution of composites. Speaker: Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard;
-    Electric distribution equipment of high and medium voltage. Speaker: New Era OJSC;
-    Nonflammable isolation from domestic producers – import substitution in shipbuilding. Speaker: Tizol JSC ;
-    Production localization in Russia. Obstacles and advantages. Speaker: SIEMENS; Second speaker: Viking Life-Saving Equipment;
•    New standards and technologies:
-    Shipbuilding: role of standardization in solving import substitution problems. The development of Russian national standards regulating design, production and operation of vessels. Speaker: Russian Scientific-Technical Information Centre for Standardization, Metrology and Conformity Assessment.

Agenda for 7.04.2017:
Round tables(Bolshoy Prospect V.O., building 103, exhibition complex “LENEXPO”, pavilion 4), from 10.00 till 12.00 on:
- “ Modern electric power systems” (with participation of New Era JSC);
- “Modern financial for shipbuilding enterprises” (organized by the Rossiya Bank PJSC);
- “Composite materials in Shipbuilding”.
Trip to New Era JSC (Partizanskaya st. 21), from 13.00 till 15.00.
Trip to Zvezda JSC is under discussion (Saint-Petersburg).

THE COST OF PARTICIPATION - 600 EUROS PER DELEGATE.

Within the Conference several activities will take place:
-    Exhibition for the participants (roller banners, exhibition stands);
-    Matchmaking services;
-    Special issue of News of Maritime Petersburg magazine and Conference catalogue publication;
-    Showing video files about the companies participating in the conference during the breaks and before the Conference;
