Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company continue to develop cooperation with well-known companies of international. In this regard, we should especially note the cooperation with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) - one of the most influential classification societies in the world.
On March 16, the Chairman of the Caspian Shipping Sea Shipping Company, Rauf Veliyev met the representatives of the ABS for Turkey and Azerbaijan offices.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the projects, which were implemented jointly with the Shipping Company. The representatives emphasized the compliance of Training Center of the Shipping Company with high standards and expressed their confidence, that the modern simulators established in the Center will play an important role in enhancing the professionalism of seafarers.
Rauf Veliyev informed in details about the direction of the activities of the Shipping Company, the works, which were carried out and the challenges ahead. It was noted that close cooperation with foreign companies in terms of organization of operations in both fleets and onshore entities in accordance with international standards, as well as improving the level of professional trainings for specialists is a priority issue, and Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company pays special attention to address these issues.
The Shipping Company, which received ABS certificates in accordance with international standards, will continue to develop cooperation with an influential classification company.

“Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping” CJSC is comprised of the offshore support and merchant fleets and two shipyards with over 9,000 of full-time employees.
The merchant fleet consists of 97 vessels, including 34 tankers, 13 ferries, 14 universal dry-cargo, 2 Ro-Ro ships as well as different auxuliary ships. And the offshore support fleet is comprised of 188 vessels, including 15 crane, 23 supply and tug, 2 diving support, 2 pipelay, 5 geological, 2 passenger and other type of vessels.
