 Wilhelmsen Ships Service completes ownership of Ukraine operationOct. 9, 2009 - The world's leading maritime service network Wilhelmsen Ships Service has acquired all the remaining shares in Wilhelmsen Ships Service Ukraine (Barwil Ukraine Ltd) thus becoming the full owner of the Wilhelmsen Ships Service operation in this Black Sea country. The transaction took place on 17 August 2009, and the operation there will become known as Wilhelmsen Ships Service Ltd.
As a consequence of the acquisition, Wilhelmsen Ships Service is now well positioned for providing new and even better solutions to its customers through its five offices across the country, providing ships agency and logistics services as well as deliveries of a comprehensive range of Unitor products.
This investment confirms recognition of the company's confidence in the Ukraine as a key growth area for shipping services and will further consolidate the capabilities of its ships' services global network, passing a higher standard to the customer.
