 Wilhelmsen Ships Service leads Sete league tableJan. 21, 2010 - Latest official statistics show that the world's leading maritime service network, Wilhelmsen Ships Service, is listed as the top ships agency in the port of Sete, France in terms of taxable volume. The figures, released by Sete's pilot station, show that the company overtook its nearest competitor this year, increasing its business by over 70% enabling it to claim the top position.
The report, issued by the Syndicat Professionnel des Pilotes du Port de Sète, lists the 14 major operators in the port of Sete.
The company's team in Sete handled around 120 port calls last year, providing its range of ships agency services, Unitor marine products and technical services"
The import of cars for EUKOR and UECC claims a significant proportion of the business. In addition, as the agent for BP vessels, Wilhelmsen Ships Service also handles a number of tankers carrying large quantities of refined products.
