 New upgraded office for Wilhelmsen Ships Service in TurkeyJuly 6, 2010 - Wilhelmsen Ships Service Turkey is pleased to announce that it has relocated its Istanbul office to upgraded premises.
The new office is located at the Asian end of the second Bosphorus Bridge in the city and offers easy access and a modern, safe and efficient environment for the staff and customers.
The Bosphorus is a key gateway to the Black Sea, and is a very important and strategic point for maritime industry in the region. As trade in the region increases, Wilhelmsen Ships Service will continue to extend its services throughout Turkey.
Wilhelmsen Ships Service has been present in Turkey since 1990 as part of a joint venture with another company. After taking over 100% ownership of the business in 2006, the company has continued to expand operations there, growing in strength to today's team of 34 people in four different locations.
Irem Gokmen, General Manager for Wilhelmsen Ships Service in Turkey, commented on the move. "We are relocating to a larger office premises in order to serve our customers' needs more efficiently," said Irem. "We believe we are now very well placed to deal with the expected growth of trade in this area."
