 New Record in Naming Ceremonies Hyundai Heavy Industries set a new record for the most naming ceremonies in one week from June 28 to July 2, 2010.
Starting with a naming ceremony of the pure car carrier, Morning Lady for EUKOR in Ulsan Shipyard and simultaneous naming ceremonies for two bulk carriers, E. R. Buenos Aires and E. R. Boston for E.R. Schiffahrt on June 28 in Gunsan Shipyard, Hyundai Heavy named 10 ships in one week.
A naming ceremony for Sofia Express for Hapag-Lloyd on June 29 was followed by two naming ceremonies for an 8,500TEU container ship, COSCO Indonesia for Seaspan and an 11,400TEU container ship, CMA CGM Callisto for CMA CGM on July 1.
There were also naming ceremonies for four 13,100TEU container ships for Rickmers on July 2. These 13,100TEU container ships are among the largest Hyundai Heavy has built.
