 Wilhelmsen Ships Service freights Indian Temple to UKJuly 16, 2010 - The latest shipment undertaken by Wilhelmsen Ships Service as part of the increasing projects and freight forwarding business that the company is undertaking in India, was of a number of ancient carved marble temples, destined for the UK. The temples, shipped in sections were loaded at Chennai.
The project required specialized packing and special types of crating, which were loaded onto containers. Wilhelmsen Ships service also took responsibility for obtaining the various government approvals for archaeological clearance, customs clearance and actual loading onto the vessel.
The consignment was then supervised right up to arrival at the consignee's site.
Managing this project for Wilhelmsen Ships Service, Sachin Chitre of the company's India Logistics team in Mumbai commented, "Wilhelmsen Ships Services has managed to move this project professionally with optimum care without facing any obstacles."
